About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Front End Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Agility team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of enterprise-scale agile planning tools, primarily focusing on Jira Align. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building innovative features from scratch, connecting strategic objectives with execution at scale. You will collaborate with a distributed team of talented engineers to enhance operational quality, security, reliability, and performance of our products. The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic environments, embrace open toolchain principles, and promote an inclusive, collaborative work culture. This role requires you to be located within the US Pacific or Mountain time zones. Qualifications Over 10 years of experience developing enterprise-grade frontend applications using React. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field. Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, including bundling, linting, testing, and deployment processes. Proven success in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment. Experience with Agile software development methodologies. Hands-on experience with microservice architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (EC2, SQS, S3) and cloud-based infrastructure management. Experience in building integrations and data synchronization using event pub/sub models. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement high-quality frontend features in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Lead initiatives to improve the operational quality, security, and performance of enterprise agility products. Make informed decisions considering customer impact and business priorities, balancing trade-offs effectively. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment where diverse perspectives are valued. Oversee daily operations of the systems and features you develop, ensuring stability and reliability. Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes to maintain high standards. Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team growth.
