Veeva operates as a Work Anywhere company, giving employees flexibility to work remotely or from an office environment. ## About the Role Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Front-End development to build and maintain user interfaces for its cloud-based applications. This role combines the fast-paced environment of a startup with the stability of a profitable technology company. You will work closely with back-end engineers, designers, and QA teams to solve complex customer problems, develop modern web experiences, and continuously improve application architecture. ### Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain user interfaces for cloud-based applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. * Collaborate with back-end engineers and designers to deliver high-quality product experiences. * Solve real customer problems and experiment with new technical solutions. * Decompose existing software systems and contribute to improving overall application architecture. * Participate in rapid development sprints and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle. * Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing coverage. * Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to technical product support. * Participate in architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities. * Mentor team members and contribute to improving the overall effectiveness of the engineering team. ### Required Qualifications * 5+ years of UI development experience. * Strong proficiency in JavaScript. * Experience with ES6. * Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue. * Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library. * Proficiency with CSS abstraction technologies such as SASS or JSS. * Familiarity with open-source Java technology stacks, including Java, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, JUnit, and Tomcat. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Demonstrated ability to mentor others and contribute to team development. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced development environment. * Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. ### Preferred Experience * Experience developing large-scale cloud-based applications. * Strong understanding of front-end architecture and modern web development practices. * Experience working closely with QA, design, and back-end engineering teams. * Experience troubleshooting and supporting production software. * Proven ability to influence technical decisions and improve software architecture. ### Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $110,000–$270,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, location, qualifications, and expected contributions. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including variable bonuses and/or stock bonuses.
